3. What materials do you need for class?
4. What happens if you receive three warnings in class for your behavior?

7. Name one thing you see in the Extras page.
8. Name one type of music group in which Mrs. Aridgides has performed.
9. Who can participate in Drum Circle and when does it meet?

Homework #2:
1. Make a rhythm complex. The complex should have four different parts (a, b, c, d) that are 8 beats each. Draw a large circle for accented notes and a small circle for regular sounds. Leave silences blank.
Then: Translate your rhythm complex to musical notation. Use quarter notes with an accent for accented sounds. Use quarter notes for regular sounds. Use a quarter rest for silent sounds.
Project #1:
2. In groups of 3-5, create 3-5 rhythmic patterns. Fill in the rhythm complex with circles and spaces. Then on the staff paper, translate your circles and spaces to notes and rests. Each pattern will represent a different percussion instrument. You will perform your composition for the class.

4. Write 3 stanzas of blues lyrics following the AAB form.
